Do you know if your pet's microchip details are up-to-date?

If the answer is a "no" - then you need to get on that.

Lost pets are up to twice as likely to be reunited with their owners if they are microchipped...
But this only applies if your contact details are up-to-date.

The good news? You can update your details online. No need to come to the vet!

All you need is...
- Your pet's microchip number. This is usually a 15-digit code, but 9 and 10-digit codes are also still in use.
- Know the database where they are registered.
- Some databases require a small fee for updating your details.

You can go online to your pet's database, and they'll guide you on how to update your details.

If you don't know your pet's microchip number, it can be found in the following documents...
- Health certificate or pet passport,
- Pet insurance registration,
- Your pet's veterinary records.

If you cannot find your pet's microchip number, you can also get them scanned at a local vet or shelter.

Remember - tags and collars can break and get lost. A microchip is the safest way to ensure your pet can be returned to you in the case they are lost or stolen.

Keep your pet safe by keeping your details up to date!
